brotherly love

here are a few recent shots of halle and carter together…being nice to each other. i assure you, these shots are 1) very rare, 2) extremely difficult to capture, and 3) followed immediately by fighting, accusations, tattling, and tears. 🙂

 

 

identity crisis

carter: mom guess what? i’m a white person.

halle: no, carter! we brown.

carter: no halle! i am white and you are brown.

halle: no carter. look at my hair. it curly and brown. we are brown.

carter: no halle!!!!!!! i look just like (insert name of very white friend at school)

halle: no you look like halle.

mommy: maybe you’re both brown and white.

carter and halle (in unison): no mommy!

adventures in babysitting

on her way out of the house…

halle: daddy, i have to go to a meeting. i see you later

daddy: okay halle, i’ll see you later.

halle: daddy, who’s coming to babysit you while i’m gone? 

the accident that wasn’t

me: did you have a potty accident in the middle of the night?

carter: no. i don’t know what happened. i just went up to go to the bathroom and somehow my pants got wet and there was water on the floor but i did not have an accident. isn’t that weird?

me: yes. very…weird.
