its been a great time, but we are always happy to be home in phoenix. next stop: first grade!!!!! stay tuned for updates 🙂
what do you when you don’t have a ton of toys? build a fort of course! and then redesign and rebuild the fort. about 128 times.
this is the current fort. i’m not allowed in as there is a sign that says “piracy plese” on top of it, but i was able to snap this shot without officer halle arresting me,
evidently there’s a lot of top secret things happening in there 🙂
oh how we miss the dry heat! it has been unbelievably humid the past few days! and on a recent trip to the park both halle and carter were dripping with sweat. so much so that carter insisted i take a picture, 🙂
due to the humidity and heat they only lasted about thirty minutes at the park but here are a few other pictures from the day,
no trip to chicago would be complete without a sail on lake michigan,
there were great winds and waves and even a sprinkle or two of rain – it all made for an amazing sail day!
there’s nothing like seeing the skyline from the lake – even if you get caught in the rain in the process! 🙂

back to zoo camp – carter was so happy to see that SIX of the camp teachers from the past two summers were back again this summer.

and views like this from our rooftop deck. the new place is small, but in a great location. so far the weather has been great – low 80’s with low humidity. we’re hoping to sail on lake michigan this weekend if the weather holds out. we do miss phoenix – not the heat, but certainly our family and friends. 🙂
