my first day riding by myself with no training wheels!!!!!

we fought the heat but the heat won

today we embarked on a hike up south mountain. the first clue that this was a bad idea was that there were no other hikers in the vicinity!! when we started it was about 88 but it sure felt like 100+ degrees. though it was hot we survived a mile-long hike!

i think it’s fairly clear we let the children pick out their own hiking outfits! next time we’ll wait until it’s under 80 degrees to hike!

goal!

carter just started “fall” soccer (ha ha ha ha ha – the game was at 8 am and it was at least 90 degrees…not quite fall yet). his team was victorious for the first game and one of the moms on the team took the three pictures below of carter in action, 

 

carter always leaves everything on the field and has such a great time playing. here’s hoping the temperature cools off for future games 🙂
