the family that runs together…

Standard

we completed a 5k!! our church coordinated a Park to Park 5K and we decided that we’d all (try to!) complete it! I went to weekly training sessions and everyone else just winged it! πŸ™‚

this is us before the race began,

and here we are after we all did it!! we all met personal goals and carter and halle both took 2nd in their age and gender divisions (10-19)!!

they also ran much faster than Jon and I! carter finished at 21 minutes and Halle finished at 25 minutes…oh to be young again! πŸ™‚ all in all it was a great run!

despite multiple injuries and playing four games in two days this team battled over and over again to come away with a second place finish in a very competitive bracket at the ostrich tournament. i had to spend about $986 in food to fuel carter after each game πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ he was sooooo hungry! here are a few weekend highlights,

Lounging around between games

Hanging with Mao πŸ™‚
